Your Instructor
Kevala discovered yoga and meditation after enduring years of severe trauma and complex PTSD. When traditional psychotherapy and even somatics didn’t provide the relief she sought, yoga revealed a different path. Through its integration of breath, āsana, and, most importantly, internal awareness and self-study, yoga became more than a physical practice—it became a gateway to deep reflection and internal connection. By turning inward and examining the patterns of her mind and body, Kevala was able to release the trauma stored within her and find profound healing. This process of inner work not only transformed her life off the mat but also introduced her to a spiritual dimension of healing, offering a peace and sense of Self she had never imagined possible. For her, yoga is not just something you do—it is a state of being and a way of experiencing life.
As a dedicated student of Yoga, Meditation, Prāṇāyāma, Chanting, and Yoga Philosophy, Kevala has immersed herself deeply in these ancient traditions. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher, a Yoga Therapist, and is currently pursuing her MS/Ph.D. in Yoga Science at Vivekananda Yoga University. With a specialization in Yoga for Trauma Recovery and Spiritual teachings, Kevala combines her comprehensive training with her own lived experience to compassionately guide others on their healing and Self-discovery journeys.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need any yoga experience to join?
A: Not at all. This course is specifically designed for beginners and those returning to yoga after a break, burnout, or injury. Every practice is gentle, breath-led, and fully adaptable to your body’s needs.
Q: What if I’m not flexible or I have an injury?
A: That’s exactly why this course exists! We focus on therapeutic movement and nervous system regulation, not “perfect poses.” Your instructor will offer modifications and support every step of the way.
Q: Can I join if I’m dealing with anxiety or emotional overwhelm?
A: Yes, absolutely — and you're not alone. This course was created for exactly that. Each class is a safe, supportive environment that helps you move at your own pace and begin to feel more grounded, calm, and connected.
Q: What should I bring to class?
A: Just bring yourself and a yoga mat. We provide props and support tools. We will provide a journal at the time of your first class if you’d like to reflect after class.
Q: Is this a workout or more of a therapeutic class?
A: It’s a therapeutic experience. You’ll move, breathe, stretch, and unwind — but the real goal is healing, not fitness. You’ll leave each class feeling calmer, more connected, and supported from the inside out.
